50 Rules for Dads of Daughters

I happened to notice last night that I was starting to bulge/bust out of my DD bra.
Fantastic.
NOT.
We are trying to buy a new car.
I do not have money to spend on new bras!

I was still upset and depressed about it this morning.
Made my whole week.
Here are a few of my favorites.

1. Love her mom. Treat her mother with respect, honor, and a big heaping spoonful of public displays of affection. When she grows up, the odds are good she’ll fall in love with and marry someone who treats her much like you treated her mother. Good or bad, that’s just the way it is. I’d prefer good.

16. Take her fishing. She will probably squirm more than the worm on your hook. That’s OK.
(Growing up, I always wished my dad would take me fishing.)

18. Tell her she’s beautiful. Say it over and over again. Someday an animated movie or “beauty” magazine will try to convince her otherwise.

28. She will eagerly await your return home from work in the evenings. Don’t be late.

34. Somewhere between the time she turns three and her sixth birthday, the odds are good that she will ask you to marry her. Let her down gently.
36. Few things in life are more comforting to a crying little girl than her father’s hand. Never forget this.

44. Write her a handwritten letter every year on her birthday. Give them to her when she goes off to college, becomes a mother herself, or when you think she needs them most.

I don't feel so bad about my changing body anymore.
She's worth every bit of it.

The baby's nursery is a work in progress.

What I did today

AWESOMENESS!

I love them. I'm very happy with the way they turned out.
Especially since this is my first time trying the new look.

Worth Waiting For

One day at church, not long after I had graduated high school,
we sang the song
I broke down in tears.

The spirit testified to me of the importance of the temple
I knew that I wanted to go to the temple,
that I was going to do anything and everything to get there.

So over the next 2 years, I prepared myself
I changed
My testimony grew
I learned who I was
I was a Daughter of God

As I watched my cousin get baptized this past weekend
and as we sang the same song
I remembered that experience I had years ago.

As I rubbed my growing belling
and looked at my handsome husband,
I knew that I had made the right choice.

I knew that because of her parents actions
and their desire to do what's right,
Our daughter would be sealed to us for eternity.

I pray for my children
my cousins
My brother
My sisters-in-law
For the kids in primary

I pray that they will know who they are
that they will be strong,
be different,
be patient.
That they will wait.

Because it is
WORTH WAITING FOR

Chris and Stephanie

UPDATE

Chris and I are expecting our first baby.
It's a girl!
Not gonna lie.. I was a bit surprised.
Always thought I would have a boy first
and I always wanted a boy first
a boy who would be a good big older brother

But God knows better
I  am getting used to the idea of having
another princess around the house.

We can't wait for her to arrive.
So excited to become parents.
